Simon Cohen (Founder and Consultant)
Simon founded the charity in September 2008 in response to the lack of sustainable water points in sub-Saharan Africa. With Master’s degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Development Studies, Simon helped guide the development of Water Work’s water pumps, programmes and strategy. Simon now works as Senior Work Programme Manager for Aqua for All.
Jeff Cohen (Director)
Jeff‘s involvement with Water Works began when he took responsibility for fund raising. He has substantial experience in raising money for various voluntary groups. His career has been in the field of mental health and human rights, but has been taking an active role in the management of Water Works for several years. He is now director of Water Works, in a voluntary capacity, having taken over from Simon in 2019.
Dyne Beselemu (Assistant Project Manager)
Dyne helps Jeff manage the charity. He multi-tasks: drives our pick-up truck delivering construction materials, administers the water testing, trains the villagers on managing the water fund and manages our tree planting programme. He is also very good chess player.
