Simon Cohen (Founder and Consultant)
Simon founded the charity in September 2008 in response to the lack of sustainable water points in sub-Saharan Africa. With Master’s degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Development Studies, Simon helped guide the development of Water Work’s water pumps, programmes and strategy. Simon now works as Senior Work Programme Manager for Aqua for All.
Eunice Nafere (Programme Manager)
Eunice is a water and sanitation specialist by profession. She has 10 years’ experience in implementing development and emergency projects that span from urban and community WASH, emergency response/recovery and nutrition projects. Having managed projects funded by different donors including UKAID, charity: water , ECHO, USAID and private donors, she has gained experience in managing donor expectation and major requirements, including the response to Malawi’s 2019 floods and the Covid 19 pandemic.
Jeff Cohen (Director)
Jeff‘s involvement with Water Works began when he took responsibility for fund raising. He has substantial experience in raising money for various voluntary groups. His career has been in the field of mental health and human rights, but has been taking an active role in the management of Water Works for several years. He is now director of Water Works, in a voluntary capacity, having taken over from Simon in 2019.
